What's New in Boki: Image Editing, Google Search, and Reports

This release brings in-app image editing, Google Search and Analytics connections, shareable campaign reports, and more across content, social, and collaboration. Here is what shipped.

Edit article images without leaving Boki

You can now edit an article’s images right inside Boki. Crop to original, square, portrait, or landscape, rotate, flip, and zoom, and adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and warmth, then apply the result straight to the article. The same editing now opens from the social post composer too, so a post image gets the same treatment. For a content marketer preparing a piece, this keeps image work next to your writing instead of bouncing out to a separate tool.

Connect Google Search Console and Analytics

You can now connect Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 to your workspace. Pick the Google property to associate, and bring in your search and traffic data as a source Boki can work from. You can also upload CSV and ZIP exports, up to 20 files at 25 MiB each, and download them later with their original filenames. Google connections request read-only access. For a growth marketer, this puts your real search and traffic data next to the content work instead of in a separate tab.

Build and share campaign reports

You can now create reports from Promotions. Build a Text report or a Performance report, choose the reporting period, and leave out promotions that are not relevant. Performance reports pull in promotion post counts, impressions, and available post-level engagement, and you can add attachments and comments, track revisions, and share the report through a public link. A performance report saves a snapshot rather than a live dashboard. For a growth marketer or agency lead, this turns campaign results into something you can hand to a stakeholder without rebuilding it each time. Reports are available on tablet and desktop.

Tailor media for each platform in one post

You can now use different media for X and LinkedIn within a single social post. Set the media each platform gets, preview each one’s caption and media on its own, and keep X thread replies separate from your LinkedIn content. Your per-platform choices save, including choosing no media for a platform. For a social media marketer running one campaign across channels, this fits each platform without keeping a separate post for every version.

Add attachments to a LinkedIn initial comment

You can now attach images or a video to a LinkedIn initial comment, kept separate from the post’s own media. Add up to nine images or one video, and Boki checks the file formats and sizes before they go. For a social media marketer, this gives you a place to add context or a link in the first comment without crowding the post. Availability depends on your connected publishing provider.

See where your pages live with a website content inventory

You can now run a background scan of your website, during onboarding or from Settings and Website content. Boki discovers pages through your sitemap and relevant links, then classifies them as articles, resources, or excluded pages, with page counts and scan progress as it goes. If a scan only finishes part way, the results you have are kept and you can retry the rest. A scan does not require a Search Console connection. For a content marketer planning an audit or a refresh, this gives you a classified starting map instead of a hand-built list.

Know your work is saved, even offline

The article header now shows a clear save state, Saved, Saving, Offline, or Can’t save. If your connection drops, pending edits to the article body and title stay on your device and sync when you are back online. This depends on your browser storage and is not a cross-device backup. For a writer, this takes the guesswork out of whether your latest changes are safe.

Reschedule and edit posts from the scheduler table

You can now change a scheduled post’s date and time straight from the scheduler table on desktop and tablet, open eligible posts for editing from the list, and see which dates already have posts scheduled when you pick a new one. Published and publishing posts stay protected from table edits, and inline date changes apply only to scheduled posts. For a social media marketer adjusting a plan, this makes timing changes quick without opening each post.

Change article access from the table

You can now set an article’s access level, Private, Team, or Public, directly from the articles table, with the current level shown beside each one. Changes are limited to the article creator and workspace members with the right permission. For an editor managing a library, this makes it easier to see and adjust who can reach each piece.

Reach saved workspace data from your AI tools

Authorized MCP clients can now read more of your saved Boki data. That includes saved SEO guidelines, analyses, competitor evidence, and article audits, internal-link suggestions from accessible articles, the latest technical and marketing document reviews, promotion and social post metrics, and short-link click totals with their traffic breakdowns. These tools read saved results. They do not start SEO analyses, run reviews, or insert links. For a growth marketer working through an AI assistant, this pulls your workspace numbers into analysis without copying them over by hand.

Role-aware onboarding

New workspaces can now start from your role. Pick a role during onboarding and Boki passes it to the onboarding agent as context, uses a suitable website icon as the workspace logo when one is available, and offers buttons to start a content plan, brief, article, social post, or short link right away. For a founder setting up, this turns setup into a guided start aimed at what you actually do.

Keep campaign attribution through signup

Boki now captures first-touch campaign information across the signup flow from the marketing site into the app. UTM campaign parameters carry through, attribution is attached to email and Google signup analytics, and marketing-site and app visitor identities link in PostHog when the identifier is available. For a growth marketer, this connects the campaigns that bring people in to the signups they produce.

Improvements

We made a set of improvements across collaboration, SEO guidance, settings, and publishing.

  • Comment threads now support nested replies across the workspace, with clearer reply author context and ordering, and article comments stay discoverable even when their selected text is deleted.

  • SEO term recommendations now weigh relevance to your primary keyword and brief rather than frequency alone, topic labels and aliases stay in Topics instead of turning into phrase recommendations, and a new SEO brief now requires a usable outline.

  • Settings are reorganized: a new Connections area groups Social accounts, Apps and storage, Data sources, and MCP, with MCP server and token management moved there from Agents.

  • Components now opens from the Articles page, and in-app announcements explain the new settings organization.

  • Brief board sections can be reordered by drag and drop, and the order is kept across desktop and tablet.

  • Full-screen media dialogs on mobile use larger touch controls and pinned action buttons.

  • Social post creation has clearer validation and a discard confirmation, post previews split content by platform, and the Social Scheduler has updated post detail and engagement layouts.

  • Article writing handles heading spacing, nested bullet lists, task lists, and keyboard behavior better, and tables now have a Delete entire table action.

  • Brief activity history loads only when needed, in pages of 25 entries, and reopening the review sidebar or a side panel restores the review, mode, and tab you had open.

  • Workspace routes and brief filters prefetch after idle time, and skip offline, Save-Data, and 2G clients.

Access changes

  • New distributions now default to Team visibility instead of Private. This changes the default for new distributions and does not affect existing records.

  • Workspace members can now view workspace short links and their click analytics. Only the link creator, workspace admins, and workspace owners can change or delete a short link.

  • The old Storage and Connected accounts pages now redirect to Connections and Apps and storage, and MCP management lives under Connections and MCP.

  • MCP connections now use scopes. Saved SEO access needs seo:read, article SEO and internal-link suggestions also need articles:read, and saved reviews need reviews:read, so existing connections need tokens with these scopes.

Additional fixes

  • Timezone conversion is correct around daylight saving time changes.

  • Editing a schedule no longer drops saved platform-specific media, and scheduled publishing uses each platform’s media and sends thread replies only to X.

  • Article title saves no longer overwrite a newer title, affect the wrong article after navigation, or show the wrong save status.

  • Markdown edits stay in sync with the article body used by autosave, statistics, and SEO.

  • Comment fixes: preview collapse, stale reply state, reply draft preservation, nested reply actions, and resolved threads that would not reopen on a second highlight click.

  • Social media uploads flicker less, caption input no longer jumps height, edited post images are size-checked, and attachment deletion and file-size display are improved.

  • Google connection errors stay visible after authorization returns, and data-source uploads have better validation, deletion handling, and request timeouts.

  • Website inventory counts and retry handling are corrected.

  • Collaboration is steadier: Boki guards against saving unverified or replaced editing state, recovers sessions after a background tab is throttled or the connection changes, and stops one editor tab from ending another tab’s session.

  • Article navigation around the Access column and canonical redirects works correctly, and article PDF and Word exports fit wide tables, switch to landscape when needed, and keep links clickable.

  • Short-link ownership uses the workspace profile identifier, and short-link permission checks are consistent across the interface, server actions, REST endpoints, and MCP tools.
