This release lets you tag accounts on X and LinkedIn without leaving the caption, protects your article edits when Boki needs to refresh, and makes comments and connections more dependable across the workspace. You get in-caption mentions, safe article refresh, and a round of reliability work on comments, avatars, and expert profiles.

Mention X and LinkedIn accounts from the caption
You can now search for and tag an account while you write a social post. Type @ in the caption, search for the person, company, or X account you want, and select the result.
For a social media marketer, this removes the manual step of confirming handles in another tab. When a post supports both platforms, you can switch between X and LinkedIn, and Boki stores the account you picked with the post. LinkedIn posts publish as native person or company mentions where supported, X posts keep the selected @username in the caption, and Boki warns you clearly when an account is not connected or a provider limit applies.
Safe article refresh
When a new release needs Boki to refresh the page, it now saves your article first. The refresh button shows Saving while it works, and the page only refreshes once the save succeeds.
For a content editor mid-draft, this closes a real gap. If the save fails for any reason, Boki keeps the page open, shows an error, and holds on to your current content instead of refreshing over unsaved work.
More reliable comments
Comment threads now handle local and server state more consistently. Replies stay attached to the correct parent, confirmed replies stay visible even when a server response is delayed, and inline previews can use comments already loaded locally on briefs and plans. Orphaned replies stay visible instead of disappearing, and comments now support authors without an email address.
LinkedIn connection avatars
LinkedIn avatars refresh more reliably. Boki checks more provider fields, attempts a profile lookup when no avatar comes back, and falls back to a clear LinkedIn profile or page icon when no real image is available. A previously stored avatar is preserved when a refresh returns nothing, and the avatar can refresh right after a LinkedIn company connection completes.
Faster expert profile updates
Expert profile edits now show on the detail page straight away. The edit dialog closes on a successful update, and the page uses the returned data before the background refresh finishes, so you see the change sooner.
Additional improvements and fixes

Editing an existing social post no longer keeps stale mention data, so your edits reflect the accounts you actually selected.

LinkedIn mentions now publish as native tagged mentions instead of plain text, so tagged accounts are real, clickable mentions.
